Add 20-minute focus track

Summary

Claude Code added a 20-minute Strudel focus track, pushed the music branch, and opened PR #2. The session also added Claude and Entire tooling. The track matches the core intent; the tooling expansion still needs a reviewer decision.

What changed

Braid reconstructed the requested work and separated it from the additional scope.

Core intent

20-minute Strudel focus track

The new music/the-burrow-focus-20min.strudel.js track follows the project’s existing Strudel patterns and keeps the change additive.

Expanded scope

Claude and Entire tooling

The same commit added .claude/ and .entire/ configuration. This work is visible in the Braid, but its connection to the focus-track intent has not been accepted yet.

Decisions

How should the focus track fit the existing music system?

Chosen
Add one standalone Strudel track and preserve existing conventions

The project remains the source of truth for pattern names, output channels, and arrangement syntax. The new work can be reviewed without changing existing tracks.

Not chosen
Replace or rewrite existing focus tracks

That would widen the change and could alter working practice modes that were outside the request.

Not chosen
Introduce a new shared music abstraction first

The request needs one new track. A broader abstraction would make the result harder to understand and verify.

Result: The focus track lives in music/the-burrow-focus-20min.strudel.js and remains additive to the current Strudel setup.
See the second decision and its alternatives

Should the Strudel name$: output syntax be rewritten after review?

Chosen
Keep the documented name$: registration syntax

The session checked the review suggestion against Strudel’s documented output-channel pattern before changing code.

Not chosen
Rewrite the output as a local const

This would stop the pattern from registering to the intended output channel and could break playback.

Result: The finding was rejected with an explanation, and the working Strudel registration was preserved.

The Claude and Entire tooling expansion remains a scope question for human review rather than a settled intent decision.

Review guide

Open code map

1 · Core intent

Review the requested focus track.

2 · Expanded scope

Decide whether the added agent tooling belongs in this Braid.

3 · Review findings

Check the review follow-up and work outside the intent boundary.

Cost

7.1K tokens · $0.23 estimated · 6h 14m session

Token and cost values come from the captured Claude Opus 4.7 session metadata. Duration is elapsed session time, not continuous model compute.

The reconstructed goal is right. Keep the track additive and preserve the existing Strudel patterns.

The empty sh file is still outside the intended change and needs a reviewer decision.
